San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum
P.O. Box 13260 - San Luis Obispo, CA 93406-3260
The San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum was founded as a regional non-profit educational
museum for the public benefit. We are preserving the railroad history of California and the
Central Coast by collecting, restoring and displaying artifacts as well as operating historic railroad
equipment.
In March 2012 we began a special capital fundraising campaign to complete the restoration and interior improvements to the historic 1894 Freighthouse as the permanent home of the Museum. To date we have received gifts and pledges exceeding $25,000! While we still have a long way to go, this is a great start in these difficult times and these donations are sincerely appreciated. This funding allows us to keep the Contractor working to complete the new rooms and spaces that will house and exhibit our artifacts, equipment, collections, archives and miniature model railroad.
